NOTICE of Public Review and Comment Opportunity for 2025 Off-highway Vehicle (OHV) Restoration grant

This grant cycle North East Trees will be submitting a grant application to the California State Parks Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division’s (OHMVR) for the Flat Top OHV Protection Project.  This project’s primary goal is to curtail illegal OHV recreational usage that occurs on roughly 37 acres of land owned by North East Trees at Flat Top Park, located in Northeast Los Angeles.

We’ve submitted funding for

• Restoration (bringing land damaged by illegal OHV use back to its natural state)

• Law Enforcement 

• Public Education and Engagement

NET’s Preliminary OHV Grant Application will be available for public review and comment from March 4 to May 5, 2024, on the California State Parks Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division’s (OHMVR) website at https://olga.ohv.parks.ca.gov/egrams_ohmvr/user/home.aspx. Public comments need to be submitted to the OHMVR Division. Instructions on how to comment are on the OHMVR’s website.
